Through practicing and teaching meditation for the last six years, I have come to understand the importance of our connections to the more subtle parts of human existence.
As my personal practice evolves, I strive to bring others to a sense of inner peace and strength through my desire to be a competent and caring guide.
Meditation is not an appointment, nor can it be properly learned from a book. I teach in order that I may help to provide for others the joy I have found for myself.”
Susan is a volunteer meditation instructor at The Rime Buddhist Center in Kansas City, MO, and a volunteer at The United States Disciplinary Barracks in Fort Leavenworth where she gives spiritual guidance to inmates. Originally from Chicago, she now lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, Daughter and Dog.
” Can’t thank you enough for giving the class such a wonderful ending. You sure have the right stuff for teaching–beauty, poise, intelligence, love for your subject…I mean it! (I don’t lie!) I felt so relieved to know I’d found my meditation teacher for future courses, if you so desire. Again, bravo and much gratitude!” -Sue Westwind, MA (Holistic Mental Health Coach) NATURAL MIND: A Green Approach to Mental Wellness
“As usual, Susan Rico-Presnell’s dedication to meditation is flawless. She enriched us through the practice of metta– for a few, the first time we encountered this adapted Buddhist meditation for exploring compassion on many levels. It opened us to the gift for that night: cultivating the ability to see the emotional perspective of other beings.” -Sue Westwind, MA
